Welcome, Trainer! Froakie

Important: This tool saves your data to your browser's local storage. Your data is not sent to any server.

For security reasons, this tool cannot connect directly to your Nintendo, Pokémon HOME, or Pokémon Trainer Club accounts. Instead, it works offline with data you provide.

To get started, you'll need to export your Pokémon box data as a .json file from a PC-based save management tool (like PKHeX).

Once you have your file, upload it here to begin analyzing your collection!

New User Guide: How to Get Your Data File

Step 1: Get Your Save File Step 1 Icon

First, you need your game's save file from your console. This requires a modified console (e.g., with homebrew) to run a save manager application. The method varies by console family.

Nintendo Switch (Generations 8 & 9)

Games: Sword, Shield, Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, Legends: Arceus, Scarlet, Violet

A homebrew-capable Switch is required. You can find a complete guide at switch.homebrew.guide. Once set up, use a save manager like JKSV to back up your save file to your SD card.

Nintendo 3DS (Generations 6 & 7)

Games: X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon

Follow the guide at 3ds.hacks.guide to set up homebrew. Afterwards, use a save manager like Checkpoint to back up your save file.

Nintendo DS (Generations 4 & 5)

Games: Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, White, Black 2, White 2

You can dump your save file using a homebrew-enabled 3DS (see above), a DSi with homebrew (guide at dsi.cfw.guide), or a flashcart.

Game Boy Advance (Generation 3)

Games: Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen

You will need hardware to read the cartridge, such as the GB Operator or other cart dumper, to copy the .sav file to your computer.

Game Boy / Game Boy Color (Generations 1 & 2)

Games: Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal

Similar to GBA, you'll need a hardware cart dumper like the GB Operator to read the save file from the game cartridge.

Step 2: Export Data with PKHeX Step 2 Icon

Once you have your save file (often named 'main' or with a .sav extension), you need a PC application to convert it into a format we can use.

Required PC Tool

PKHeX is the gold standard for editing and managing Pokémon save files. It is compatible with saves from every core series game.

Export Process

  1. Open PKHeX on your computer.
  2. Go to File > Open... and select your save file.
  3. Once your boxes are loaded, navigate to the menu bar and click on Tools.
  4. From the dropdown, select Data > Dump Boxes to JSON.
  5. This will create a .json file. This is the file you need to upload.
Step 3: Upload and Analyze Step 3 Icon

Come back to this page and use the "Upload Pokémon Data (.json)" button above to load your newly created file. Enjoy managing your collection!
